How is this collection unique?

  • eBooks on the R2 Digital Library are purchased individually, allowing Texler Library to build meaningful collections one title at a time.
  • In addition to purchased individual titles, the library also subscribes to Patron Driven Demand Access (PDA). Purchases in this collection are made based on usage by our library  users.  Users receive two full text accesses of each PDA title.   The third access of a PDA resource is the trigger event – at that point the resource is sent to the Systems Librarian, Amy Manns.  The title will then be reviewed to decide if it meets our collection needs
  • Single User Access to a title.   You do not check out books on R2.  Instead you access for as long as you need.  When you end your session, they are available for the next person to use.
