What is Internet Archive?

Internet Archive is a non-profit digital library offering free universal access to books, movies & music, as well as 376 billion archived web pages. 

How do I use Internet Archive?

The Internet Archive is available to Trexler Library students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the public.  To borrow items you will need to create an account. You do not need to use your DeSales University Email.

  1. Search for your book title.
  2. Click on Borrow. You will be taken to the preview page.
  3. Click on Borrow this book. Default time is 1 hour, but you can sometimes change that to 14 days.
  4. You will be able to read the ebook in the viewer, or you can download the ebook and read it using Adobe Digital Editions.
  5. eBooks will be auto-returned or you can return your ebook early by clicking on Return It.

Details

  • You can check up to 10 ebooks at one time.
  • If an ebook cannot be borrowed, it will say Waitlist or Borrow Unavailable. If you join the waitlist you will be emailed when the ebook is ready. If it says Borrow Unavailable, try returning an ebook if you have 10 already checked out.
  • In order to download ebooks you must use Adobe Digital Editions
