PMC - PubMed Central

What is PubMed Central?   "PubMed Central (PMC) is a free-full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM).  This archive collection contains over 6.2 million articles comprising a mix of full-participation journals, NIH portfolio journals, and selective deposit journals. Additional information is available via a collection of links on the PMC home page."

Make an Appointment with a Librarian to Learn More

Please use the Contact Information in the box on the right side of this page, or the link on the home page,, to make a one-on-one appointment with a librarian, in person or via Zoom or Chat, to learn more about PubMed.  Though described as more user-friendly than ever, that still does not mean that PubMed is easy to search.  One of the most frequent expressions we hear from students who have spent some time with a librarian learning how to effectively and successfully search on PubMed is "I learned a lot!"   Group or workshop appointments can also be arranged!  Just contact a librarian to make an appointment.
