About eBooks

Trexler Library subscribes to over 300,000 electronic books covering all disciplines and for leisure reading.  An additional 50,000 titles are available on a temporary basis to support our patrons during the COVID-19 Crisis.  Our eBooks are typically found through a search of the library system.

The tabs above have detailed instructions for using eBooks from our different database providers. 

Search for eBooks

Advanced Search: Enter your search term(s), click Limit Your Search, and then choose eBook in the drop down menu under Format.

General Library Search: Or, after a general library search, use the limiting tools along the left side of your results screen. Check the box for DeSales University; click on Show More under Formats, and select the eBook box. Click the View eBook button to begin reading.
 
All Ebooks in our Collection:   You may search for all ebooks in our collection by copying and pasting this into the search box:  (x0:book + x4:digital)

Challenges?

  • limited borrowing periods (same as print books)
  • different print, download, copy abilities
  • might need extra software to view content
