Anti-Racism Resources: Support for People of Color

It welcomes and accepts all to DeSales:
-recognizes and respects cultural differences among the student body;
-provides a comfortable environment where differences are met with love;
-highlights those who have paved the path to equality;
-educates students on how to accept and love themselves while continuing their journey to holistic growth.

This is our mission statement: Ujima is here to advocate and build a unified community for African diaspora here at DeSales University. We are here to create a safe and judgment-free environment to communicate and discuss hard topics happening on and off campus. Ujima is here to motivate the young black folks that attend DeSales University who intend to become successful in their personal and academic life. Ujima is here to better the surrounding student life by partaking in service work and spreading culture and diversity.

Classes, work, life — college isn't always easy and can sometimes be overwhelming. If you find yourself in times of confusion, worry, or concern, the DeSales Counseling Center offers highly qualified and trained individuals to help you sort through the rough stuff. Counseling services are offered at no cost to any full-time student.
