Trexler Library is reopened with updated procedures to ensure we are ready for anything this semester.
Most changes can be found on our COVID-19 Reopening FAQ page, which you can search below:
Trexler Library is open to DeSales students, faculty, and staff only starting August 17, 2020. Patrons are required to swipe their DeSales ID to enter the building. The library is open during the following hours during the Spring 2021 semester through May 15, 2020:
Sunday: 12pm - 11pm
Monday-Thursday: 9am - 11pm
Friday & Saturday: 9am - 5pm
These hours will vary/change after May 15, 2021. Please see our full calendar for details at desales.libcal.com.
Masks must be worn at all times within Trexler Library. Students are expected maintain social distancing while working in groups to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Students are also expected to sanitize the areas they use (desks, printers, etc) prior to each use, utilizing cleansing cloths located throughout the library. Furniture has been removed and/or adjusted to enforce social distancing and cannot be rearranged. Eating is no longer allowed and drinking is restricted to water.
Students can still book study rooms online but safety procedures must be followed. Masks must be worn properly at all times in the study rooms. The Glass Study Rooms can hold 2 people, Study Rooms E-G can hold 1 person, and the McFadden Room can hold 4 people. All users in a booking must check in at the front desk when they arrive in the building before going to the study room. If capacity limits or mask requirements are not followed, students will be asked to leave the library.
