This guide provides practical information and guidance on copyright and Fair Use issues. It includes online tutorials for classroom use.

Four Factors for Fair Use

1. Purpose
Is the use for non-profit or is it commercial?

2. Nature of the Copyrighted Work
Is the work more facutal or imagainative?

3. Amount and Substantiality
How much of the work will
      you use?

4. Effect of use on the Potential Market
If this use was widespread, what kind of effect would it have

on the market for the original or persmissions?
